I did, however, get some shots of the Parthenon. The only full-sized replica in the world. The real thing, of course, sits in ruins on the top of the Acropolis overlooking the dinghy city of Athens.

This fake one just doesn’t have that ancient appeal, but it’s neat to see what it might have looked like in its complete state. We went to haunt the place both by day….

And by night…

That's the little crescent moon in the corner
We also got around to the Grand Ole Opry which doesn’t look grand or old, but hey, it’s important because… Apparently it’s the oldest continuos radio program in the USA, but what’s weird is that it’s neither broadcast from this location nor is there even anything remotely radio-esque about this location. The Grand Ole Opry is now a very famous venue for country stars, rock stars, any stars to play. So we saw it. Here it is. Be excited for us

It wasn’t all fun and nonsense in Nashville. In an attempt to be serious individuals, we went to Vanderbilt University to visit a friend of Leah’s from U of L who now works in the Psychology department and is about to embark on a study of guitar playing as a cognitive event, or multiple events, or as a lack of cognition, or, or, or, I don’t know what I’m talking about
He was also quite adamant about the importance of synthesizers in modern music… but we won’t go there… (note to M: you will never convert Leah to be Leotarded!)

Two more strange items Nashville has to offer. The Batman Building (aka the at&t building).
And from all the good looking men we met in Nashville, we picked up this special beauty on the street:
Farewell Nashville! Thanks for a great time!
